These terms govern your use of Exo, an open-source desktop email client built by Ankit Gupta.

Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using Exo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

Description of service

Exo is a free, open-source desktop email client for macOS that connects to your email accounts (currently Gmail) and provides AI-powered features using AI providers you configure. The source code is available at github.com/ankitvgupta/mail-app.

Your accounts and API keys

You are responsible for your own email accounts and any third-party API keys (e.g. Anthropic API keys) that you configure in Exo. You must comply with the terms of service of those third-party providers.

Privacy

Your use of Exo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how your data is handled.

Open source license

Exo's source code is available under its open-source license. These terms of service apply to your use of the application and do not modify the open-source license.

Disclaimer of warranties

Exo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Exo's author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the application, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of emails, or unauthorized access to your accounts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Exo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
